The Royal Australian Naval Sailing Association exists to encourage sailing within the Navy. They were originally established as the Australian Squadron of the Royal Naval Sailing Association in 1949, but in 1966, with the blessing RNSA, were launched in our own right as RANSA. RANSA has had a continuing history of involvement in the local Sydney sailing scene ever since. RANSA has a busy racing schedule throughout the year, including a Winter Point Score Series on Saturdays, a Midweek Series on Wednesday afternoons, and a Friday Twilight Series during the summer months.

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) is Australia's premier yacht club and home to what is considered yachting's 'Everest' - the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The CYCA was established in 1944 and over the years has become Australia's leading exponent of ocean racing and sea safety.

Yachting Australia is the peak body for all forms of yachting, both power and sail, throughout Australia. One of Yachting Australia responsibilities is to promote the sport in all it's aspects, including building awareness through increased media exposure ensuring that pathways into the sport are clear and unambiguous and encouraging the provision of local facilities offering a safe, successful and enjoyable introduction.

NSW Wheelchair Sports Association (NSWWSA) is the highest profile and largest single disability - sporting group in Australia. The association conducts a wide and diverse range of events and programs catering for the novice to the elite Paralympian. These activities take place throughout the year in Sydney and other locations across regional NSW.

Riding for the Disabled Association is a voluntary, not for profit, organisation which provides riding instruction and other activities associated with riding and harness driving for people with disabilities. RDA provides opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy a safe, stimulating, healthy, therapeutic and recreational sport.

The Gold Coast Race (sometimes called "the Southport Race" by yachties") is a prestigious race in its own right. But adding to its status is that it is a key event in the CYCA's ocean racing season for the Blue Water Pointscore and Long Ocean Pointscore. The CYCA introduced the Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race in 1986 as "the great winter escape", taking advantage of the completion of the Gold Coast Seaway.
