DET Blind & Vision Impaired

Carole Powel has worked for four years to have SWD visit Newcastle. The group she escorted today was the largest to sail on a try sail day on the 2010 campaign. We had a couple of guests invited by me (family of Bill theFish) that came along as well. I had never seen a constant stream of driver changes before - 20 different drivers - wow! Anyway, the group spokesperson made this comment;

"A fabulous opportunity for our students. This was the first time most of our kids had been sailing and they loved it. Thanks for the jokes, the guidance with our steering, and the encouragement we all had out there (sic- in the ocean)."
