SWD featured in the Australian Newspaper
14-Dec-2008FOR 17 years David Pescud has been competing -- very successfully -- in the Sydney to Hobart.
The 61-year-old skipper's yacht KAZ is crewed by a mix of able-bodied and disabled sailors.
This year Pescud's crew, which includes double amputee Albert Lee, is again contesting the annual Australian classic, which starts on Boxing Day.
Pescud is a dyslexic whose disability made for a painful childhood until he took up competitive sailing at 10. He found he was good at it and he has been helping others to be inspired by sailing every since.
